An exclusive premiere screening of the documentary film ‘Clouds’ took place for the media at 3data’s new office located in the center of Moscow. The film was presented by its creators, i.e. Mastertel, Vertical, Legrand, IXcellerate and 3data.
The short film’s main character moves from a past era of entangled wires and floppy disks to our current wireless cloud present and discovers how the world’s means of communication has changed over the past 20 years.
"The film ‘Clouds’ was intended as a key link in the documentary cycle, designed to popularize knowledge of modern telecommunications technologies, without which modern life wouldn’t survive! Our task was to show the mysterious and exciting side of cloud technology at work, hidden from the eyes of the public, usually accessible only to IT specialists. Today's users know exactly how to get the best results from a particular cloud service but rarely pause to think about how and why it works. It is primarily for these people that our film ‘Clouds’ is aimed. The film is the result of the work of our company ‘Mastertel’ and our telecom industry partners, in fact all those whose work is provided by the use of cloud services,” stressed Mastertel’s General Director, Vitaly Ezopov.
“Cloud computing has become an integral part of our lives. Cloud applications are ‘virtual’ for users. In real life, however, clouds almost always have a ‘residence permit’ in large data centers, which ensure the operability and continuity of these services. We are glad that in our film we managed to unite industry experts and show the real home of cloud services," commented Dmitry Fokin, Managing Director of IXcellerate.
This is the third film of the series, dedicated to the development of modern technologies and telecommunications. Previous films include ‘Network’ and ‘Architecture of the Internet. Data Center.’
