In February 2020, Rosstandart orders approved two national standards in the field of data processing centers.
The standards were developed by the Association of Data Center Industry Participants. 3data is a member of the Association, the company's employees are part of the standardization working groups and were directly involved in the development of standards.
GOST R 58811-2020 “Data processing centers. Engineering infrastructure. Stages of Creation ”regulates the stages of creation of the engineering infrastructure of data centers, stages within stages and the content of work at each stage. GOST R 58812-2020 “Data processing centers. Engineering infrastructure. Operating model of exploitation. Specification "defines the requirements for the organization of operation of engineering systems of data centers in order to ensure the proper quality of their functioning and provide consumers with services of AI data centers of acceptable quality.
“This is a significant event for the Association and the data center market as a whole. The presence of standards will improve the quality of services provided in the creation and operation of data centers, and will focus on solving promising problems. The Association is grateful to its members for the long-term systematic and versatile support of the global task of standardization in the field of data centers, ”noted the President of the Association Igor Dorofeev.
“I am glad that within the framework of the Association of Data Center Industry Participants, we have developed national standards that have been approved. The GOSTs take into account all the experience of the Association members accumulated over the years. The working groups on standards included leading professionals of the data center market and this allowed us to form a competent approach to development topics, ”said Maxim Tserulev, CTO of 3data.
