Artur Pyarn, Director of Huawei Cloud solutions, during his speech in the Plenary part of the conference spoke about the results of the cloud provider's work for a year in Russia.
Huawei, the first international ICT vendor to launch its own cloud, started its operations by providing basic infrastructure services. It is important to note that the company uses cloud resources for its own needs, and in the near future-the provision of services from the cloud Huawei Pay, Huawei Video and Huawei Music to a multimillion audience of owners of Huawei smartphones.
During the annual period, the company significantly expanded its portfolio of projects by placing it infrastructures in the cloud of retail, media and film industry, gaming segment, industry and financial sector. To meet the needs of Customers, the company has scaled its cloud, increasing the location to 3 data Centers in Moscow and the number of leased racks to 500. The infrastructure of data centers is provided by 3data on its own and partner platforms (IXcellerate, DataPro).
The report focused on the key features of Huawei Cloud. First, a fully automated platform, managed through a console, allows the Customer to carry out independent management and control, bypassing technical support for routine operations with IT infrastructure.
Secondly, Huawei is a manufacturer of all key components of the cloud infrastructure - from chipsets to software, which allows you to optimize not only the cost of cloud services, but also to offer significantly more productive solutions.
Third, all cloud services support standard APIs for working with the cloud through software tools, and support for S3 Protocol by Huawei object cloud storage allows you to backup the customer's infrastructure to the cloud with the most common backup solutions on the market in a few clicks.
Having completed the construction of the infrastructure platform, Huawei Cloud plans to focus on the development of intelligent PaaS-services, including solutions based on Artificial intelligence-data lake, Analytics, processing and storage of big data. Processors for AI, controllers and smart network adapters, SSD-drives-the entire range of hardware in-house production allows us to offer reliable, secure, high-performance cloud services for large corporate Customers.
Peter Predtechensky, Director of operations, demonstrated online to the conference participants the ability to easily and quickly create a cloud infrastructure, including a virtual data center, a NAT gateway for Internet access, a database (based on PaaS-services RDS, Relational Database-as-a-Service), an application server and a web client.
