Huawei venture into the Russian market represents the first time outside of China that the Company has offered cloud services using it’s own brand name. Huawei has deployed a new, cloud-based business in Russia. Wang Wei, CEO of Huawei Cloud in Russia, told Computerworld Russia about the state of affairs and plans in this area.

Legrand and 3data have opened a data center in the historic center of Moscow. The new data center is based on Legrand’s own equipment and therefore is positioned by the project participants as a ‘mono-vendor’ project. 3data plans to provide it with a wide range of services - from traditional rental racks to cloud services. Telecommunications in the data center is provided by the Mastertel communications operator.
The development of the data center market is, for obvious and natural reasons, faced with commoditization. Of course, this segment is far from the consumer equipment market, but here the market participants face similar problems. In terms of their parameters, data centers are similar to each other - the third level of reliability today is offered by many - but how to attract customers while providing competitive advantages?
Yesterday, April 5th the official opening of the SK19 site took place. This is the first Russian site meeting the Digital Yard level, which combines a data center, a museum and office premises. The project was developed specifically for modern IT companies in accordance with the federal program ‘Digital Economy of the Russian Federation’.
